Hi All,
I just wanted to thank everyone who has bought the cd for their lovely comments about it - I'm delighted that something that gives me so much pleasure is now giving lots of other people pleasure too.
"Let It Happen" is now available to buy in Zhivago Music Stores in Galway!
I've had several queries about purchasing the cd on-line without credit card. So, if you want to buy "Let It Happen" but don't have a credit card or pay-pal account, simply send a cheque/postal order/bank draft for the required amount (€12.99 each, no charge for post and packing) to me directly with your name and address and I'll post the cd(s) out to you! My address is:
Campsie House, Caherglassaun, Gort, Co.Galway, Ireland.
Roll on June 26th for the launch gig, hope to see plenty of you there!

IT HAS HAPPENED!!!! The cd is now available to buy - so please, support me in this project and tell everyone about it. You can purchase it on-line but it's also available in numerous outlets and hostelries in Kinvara, and will hopefully be in Galway shops next week, and who knows after that! Prepare to see some changes on the website as I'll be putting up a photo of the cd as well as a track list and some short media files. The Cuckoo Fleadh is on this weekend and it's a very busy one here in Kinvara, so hopefully enough people will be around to get the local economy going again. Anyway, thanks again to all who helped with getting the cd out there. Enjoy the long weekend.

Hello everybody! Well, recording is finally underway for my debut cd! I have a very ambitious timeline; I'm still hoping to have it available for purchase around Easter. You'll be able to purchase it direct from the website, but I'm also hoping to get a reasonable deal with a distributor so that it will be available in the shops. It's really very exciting (I've probably said that before) so I hope that the end result has general appeal. I have a good few bookings for Weddings this year already and I'm performing in the Merriman Hotel on Friday February 26th as part of the Northampton National School parents social night. I must take this opportunity to thank the wonderful musicians I've been working with on the cd - they've all been really generous and helpful and they're all extremely talented and experienced musicians so people should buy the cd when it's out to hear them!! Peter Brazier, Martina King, Paul Corbett, Stuart Cowell and Jerome - I really appreciate all of your guidance.
So, as ever, watch this space!!

Well, where has the time gone, 2010 already? We've had it pretty rough here in Galway with the floods in November and now icy roads everywhere, but we're still smiling! So, just a short blog to let you know that I will be updating the website within the next month or so. I've started work on the cd, if all things go to plan it will be available to purchase around Easter. It's a really exciting time for me, the tracks I'm doing are all songs that I love to sing and with the website being updated, you'll be able to purchase the cd on-line. I'm still singing in Galway Cathedral, my next date there is Sunday January 24th at 12.30pm Mass and Ray O'Donnell will be on the organ, as usual. Dunguaire Castle is closed at the moment and won't be due to open until after Easter, so I'll have lots of news between now and then and I really will try to keep this blog updated more frequently.
Bye for now. x

I know, everybody's still complaining about the weather, but I have to say, here in Galway it's been lovely - between the showers! And that's what it's all about isn't it, making the most of what we've got and keeping positive. That's why I decided to run an ad in the next issue of Galway Now, so watch out for it and let me know what you think.
As far as the singing goes, I now have my dvd of the recital I told you about that I did back in March and I just have to get it loaded onto the website - as a first recital it' not too bad, but I'll gladly accept any comments, good bad or indifferent!
I'm also hoping to do a cd over the winter, but that's at the very early stages of development so I'll fill you in when I've a bit more to tell you about on that.
Bye for now,
Maeve x

Can't resist a bit of sailing lingo, seeing as how we're in the throws of the Volvo Ocean Race here in Galway! Well, who would believe the weather we're having? Let's hope we get to see sunshine like this at least once per month during the summer (no point in asking for too much!!). A few things happening at the moment, I'm back singing in Dunguaire Castle at the moment, but only about once per week, so contact me if you want to know when I'm on. I would recommend the evening to anyone, it's really a great show and very entertaining (and the food is lovely too). I'll be in Galway Cathedral at 12.30 Mass on Sunday June 7th but don't have any other dates as yet. And best of luck to all the happy Wedding couples I'll be singing for over the next few months in Galway - exciting times I'm sure.
In my last Blog I mentioned the recital in Galway City Museum that I took part in - I saw the video recording of it today and I'm very pleased with the result. Hopefully, at some stage over the next few wekks I'll be able to post it on the website, so watch this space.....
And don't forget your sunscreen!!

Hello everybody,
Sincere apologies for not keeping my site up to date. Things have been a little bit hectic since I last posted a blog. I've been doing quite a few weddings, so congratulations to all of the lovely couples that I've had the honour of singing for over the past year. And I already have numerous bookings for 2009 so good luck to all those who are planning their big day as I type!
I have started studying with Durham Voice Studio (I've put a link in) and it's proving to be a very fruitful collaboration. We had a recital last night (March 12th) in Galway City Museum and it really was a treat to behold. Galway is full of fantastic singing and it was a pleasure to be part of it. I'll let you know about any further events.
I've also joined a team of cantors who sing in Galway Cathedral at 12.30p.m. Mass, my turn comes up about once per month, so if you want to hear me/see me singing in the flesh I'll be on this Sunday, March 15th and also Sunday April 19th.
I promise, I will be a better blog poster!!

It's hard to believe that it's that time of year again. We're into rehearsals for the summer season at Dunguaire Castle and it's all systems go. Thanks to the wonderful technology of the internet I have had many queries through this site which have led to bookings for Weddings. The first of these is fast approaching, Friday April 4th in fact, so I might take the opportunity to wish the happy couple, Enda & Maeve, all the very best. It never ceases to amaze me how organised some people can be though - I'm already booked for a couple of Weddings 12 and 18 months from now. So to all of you preparing to get married, enjoy this special time, look forward to the day and be sure to contact me if you think I can help with the whole experience of the day by performing at the Wedding ceremony.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
The weather outside is frightful - but we keep on singing! If you're getting married in the Spring, it's only around the corner so now is a good time to start organising your Church music - that's where I come in. Have a listen to the track samples and give me a call if you think I have what you're looking for. This might be the first time you've ever had to even think about religious songs but I hope you'll trust me when I tell you that picking the right ones and discussing them with your partner will add to the meaningfullness of the ceremony. Best of luck with the plans!
